Love Your Taste Buds LLC, Client Services Agreement

Thank you for selecting LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC as your personal chef service. Our goal is to provide you with delicious food on an ongoing basis with a nutritional food plan tailored to your personal goals. Together, we have completed a consultation or communicated to assess your needs and preferences and discussed dietary restrictions and any food allergies.

LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC is a professional personal chef service owned and operated by Chef Tiana Walters. Concerning all parties involved, this business policy statement is furnished to clients, so they know how this business works.

We spend tremendous energy planning, researching, communicating, and executing these food services. You agree to our terms of service by booking any service with LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC. We do not offer refunds for services purchased. If you have questions, please inquire before purchasing.

Booking:

Your service date(s) are booked on the Chef’s calendar when 100% payment is received. This does not include the groceries you will pay for during your cook session, if applicable.

Your Chef will promptly arrive at your home at the agreed-upon time on the agreed-upon date(s). Chefs will need full access to the cooking area for an estimated 2-5 hours. Please make your home accessible to your Chef on the scheduled cook session. 

Changes / Cancellations:

LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC requires five-day advance notification of any change in service dates or cancellations. If five days’ notice is not provided, there will be no refunds and incur a penalty of 100% of the quoted price plus the cost of groceries if already purchased.

The following will familiarize you with our policies and client expectations:

  • By booking our service, you are entering a legal agreement between LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC to supply the meals as indicated on the menu and for payments and fees per this Contract.
  • LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC charges are based on the meal/dish package chosen. These rates do not include the cost of groceries or any other fees.
  • The Chef’s fee is due at the time of booking; if payment has not been received, services are void. Food reimbursement and any costs incurred are due on the day of service. If payment is returned for any reason, you will incur a $30 charge.
  • Promotional discount applies to chefs’ fees only – not the cost of food.
  • We will submit your proposed menu options to you after your consultation. You must select meals and customizations at the time of booking. Any additional menu ideas or changes must be notified 72 hours before your cook session.
  • You can purchase the ingredients for your cook session, or we can bring them. A $30 shopping fee applies if you wish for us to provide the ingredients. We will create a grocery list and send it via email or phone. If you want us to shop, you must check off food items and return the grocery list 48 hours before your scheduled cook session.
  • We will shop for the necessary ingredients at your preferred grocery store. All the agreed-upon menu items are subject to change from the initial menu due to ingredient availability, quality, or other unforeseeable factors. If specialty ingredients or food items are required, a fee will apply.
  • We will cook and package the meals for you in your kitchen. Each week’s cooking session will be scheduled in advance and will likely be on the same day.
  • You should ensure that the kitchen is clean, the fridge/freezer has space for ingredients/meals (if not, your meals will be left out on the counter), the sink and dishwasher are empty at the scheduled time, and meal containers are clean and ready to use.
  • You will provide proper cleaning supplies such as rags, dish towels, paper towels, trash can, trash bags, broom and dust pan or vacuum cleaner, white vinegar, disinfectant spray or bleach, hand soap, dish soap, detergent, etc.
  • If the Chef arrives at an unsuitable workspace, they will document the area with a photo(s), and a cleaning fee of $200 will be added to the invoice for that service date. The Chef is responsible for cleaning up after cooking, not before.
  • Pets and children must be kept out of the kitchen area. We respectfully request that the client allows the Chef to perform their professional services without interruption.
  • If your Chef cannot access your home (locks were changed, tricky pets, etc.) on your scheduled cook day, you will be charged as a last-minute cancellation and expected to reimburse for your groceries.

You can expect your Chef to:

  • Show up on the agreed date and time for the cooking session prepared to work. Your Chef should arrive in a 45-minute window discussed in the initial consultation. If that were to change, the Chef or LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS management would let you know.
  • Be dressed in appropriate attire.
  • Disinfect and clean the affected areas in the kitchen during and after cooking.
  • Handle and store fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafood appropriately.
  • Respect your privacy and property.
  • Provide confidentiality between the Chef and/or nutritionist and you.
  • Provide advance notice of any unforeseen cancellation by the Chef.
  • We will package and label your food and provide you with any necessary heating instructions.
  • To provide the best possible service for you and safety reasons, the Chef will not be able to answer the phone or the door or be responsible for people working in the home.

Food Safety:

  • Once a meal is turned over to the client, you must handle and maintain it properly. LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS is not responsible for problems with your refrigerator/ freezer or due to improper handling or storage of food.
  • LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS is not responsible for any illness or death due to manufacturing flaws or recalled products. LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS will inspect all groceries but is not responsible for conditions unknown or unforeseen. If it is discovered that a product is contaminated or has been recalled, LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS will promptly contact you and advise you to avoid the item.
  • We highly recommend a food thermometer, which requires that food be reheated to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Food should not be left unrefrigerated for longer than 2 hours.
  • It is recommended that frozen food that is to be eaten is defrosted properly in the microwave or defrosted in the refrigerator overnight. Defrosting food in the microwave should only be done if you plan on immediately heating the food. Otherwise, use the fridge.

Limitations: We are not medical doctors or certified nutritionists. We do not provide medical advice, and you acknowledge that we have advised you to seek the advice of your doctor or other healthcare providers if you have any medical questions. If you fail to pay any amounts due to LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC under this agreement, you agree that such charges will accrue interest at the annual rate of 25% from and after our notice to you that payment is overdue and, in addition to such costs, you are responsible for any expenses of collection of such amounts, including attorneys’ fees. Client shall indemnify and save harmless LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC and all its employees from all suits, actions, losses, damages, claims, or liability of any character, type, or description, including without limiting the generality of the preceding all expenses of litigation, court costs, and attorney’s fees arising from or relating to LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC’s performance of the terms of this agreement. In no event shall LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from its performance or failure to perform according to the terms of this agreement. LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, with or without cause or reason. LOVE YOUR TASTE BUDS LLC reserves the right to add, delete or change fees or charges at any time. This agreement constitutes the sole and only agreement between the Parties and supersedes any prior understandings or written or oral agreements between the Parties respecting this subject matter.
